Supported platforms
TapKlip works with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Each platform has its own page that lists the link formats it accepts, the files you get, and what to do when a download fails. You can also skip those pages and paste any supported link in the box. TapKlip detects the platform for you.
How it works
- Copy a link in TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest. Most apps have a Copy link option under Share.
- Paste it in the box above. The Paste button reads your clipboard, and you can paste the whole share text, since TapKlip finds the link inside it.
- Tap Download, then pick the file you want: a video, the audio, or a photo.
The Download button sends the file through TapKlip's stream server with a filename that's ready to save. Files aren't stored on our servers, and each download link lasts 15 minutes. Sometimes you'll also see a small Open in new tab link that goes straight to the platform's own copy of the file.
Share button on Android
On Android, open TapKlip in your browser and choose Install app or Add to Home screen from the browser menu. After that, TapKlip shows up in the Share menu of TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Tap Share, pick TapKlip, and the link is already in the box.
On iPhone
iPhone doesn't let web apps appear in the Share menu. Copy the link, open TapKlip, and tap Paste. Saved files go to the Files app under Downloads, and you can move videos and photos to Photos from there.
Status today
The summary below shows how downloads are doing on each platform right now. The full numbers live on the TapKlip status page. They come from automated tests every 10 minutes plus real downloads, published as they are.
Check it when a download fails twice. If a platform is having a bad day, you'll see it there before you spend time on retries. When one platform keeps failing for many people, TapKlip pauses it and tells you so.
Results from automated tests every 10 minutes on valid public links.
See full statusWhy TapKlip
- No ads on the first screen. The paste box is the first thing you see, not a banner.
- No pop-ups or fake buttons. The Download button you see is the one that downloads.
- A public status page. Success rates per platform sit on the status page, good days and bad.
- No login. You don't need a TapKlip account or your social media password.
- Errors that name the cause. Instead of "something went wrong", you see why, such as a private post or a cut-off link, plus a page on how to fix download errors.
- Honest labels. Audio files say whether they're M4A or MP3, and TikTok videos say whether they carry a watermark.
TapKlip only fetches public content. It can't open private, friends-only, or age-restricted posts, and Instagram Stories aren't supported yet. TapKlip isn't affiliated with TikTok, Meta, or Pinterest.

Frequently asked questions
Is TapKlip free?
Yes, and you don't need an account. To keep it working for everyone, each network can fetch 20 links per minute and 300 per day.
Do I need to install an app?
No. TapKlip runs in your browser. On Android you can install it from the browser menu to add it to the Share menu, but that's optional.
Where do downloaded files go?
On Android and computers, they go to your Downloads folder. On iPhone, look in Files › Downloads, then save videos or photos to Photos from there.
Can I download from private accounts?
No. TapKlip only fetches public content, so private, friends-only, and login-required posts can't be fetched.
Does TapKlip convert videos to MP3?
Not yet. You get the original audio in M4A or MP3, labelled with its real format.
Does TapKlip store the files I download?
No. Files pass through our stream server so they arrive with a proper filename, but they aren't stored.
